|Oliver’s got a case of the Mondays|
Monday is the only day that both Eric and I usually have off. Unfortunately, Monday is also accompanied by my mile-long to-do lists. My Monday is going to be comprised of a mixture of my December goals, work for my youth assistant job, and cleaning (which was on my December goals too). As Monday is a busy day for most of us, I think it is also important to remember that which you did get accomplished over the weekend. Whether it be actual, physical things, or just spending time with loved ones.
Here are some of my weekend accomplishments:
I had my last final/critique! Here is my chasing and repousse piece. It’s not perfect, but I think it’s not terrible for my first go. It’s leaves and vines, and while my Professor and peers said that I should turn it into a wall piece, I’m thinking I might make a windchime with it. This was chased and repoussed from a flat sheet of copper.
Another first for the semester: I made this bangle early on. Finally got a photo of it. This was forged from a copper rod.
While at Costco, I got this king sized fuzzy blanket (only $25!! Costco is not paying me to write this, but they definitely could. I’d take some Costco $$!). Oliver is obsessed with it. He was laying on it, and we tucked him in so he was nice and cozy.
And…. I finally had my Gilmore Girls a Year in the Life viewing party! We had a knitathon during it. I realized I should have refreshed myself on how to knit before trying to teach people, but it ended up going okay. As I type this, they are still knitting, which completely warms my heart!
