Hello, dear reader!
My name is Rachel. Welcome to Sharp things! This is me and my cat, Oliver.
I’m a twenty-something-year-old artist, and Oliver is a cat who hates taking selfies with me.
This blog is an exploration of my love for creating and sharp things. You’ll find cooking, sewing, jewelry, writing, DIY, reviews, and other various things here. I love to explore new mediums and projects. Originally, I wanted to call this blog Everyday Experiments, but the internet told me that the domain for that was $800, so I picked something else. Isn’t that how the best things are born?
I live in the Atlanta suburbs, dreaming of the day I can move somewhere colder! I work as a barista, babysit, and I own a jewelry business! I am also a slave to my spoiled, spoiled kitty. He eats better than I do; I’m convinced!
It is my goal and passion to show others how easy it is to live independently and creatively! I can’t tell you what a blessing it is to know how to cook, sew, and fix things for myself. I save so much money, so I’m able to spend my money on things I don’t need (isn’t that kind of our goal?). Even if you don’t think you can be creative, I truly believe there is a spark of creativity in everyone! You can help me help you by letting me know if there are any specific things I can help you with! I’m always open to suggestions! Remember: I’m here for you. If I wanted this blog to be all about me, I’d just talk to my cat. I mean really. Which is not to say that I don’t do that anyway…
So welcome again to my blog; I’m happy to have you here!
