I normally like to reserve my weekends for mostly studio time, but this weekend, we had a family event in Ohio to attend to. I spent the week grabbing hours to work on the apron I was sewing for my cousin.
Then Thursday night I went with my mom and my sisters to a giant challah baking event. My boyfriend said it was, “the best bread he’s ever had.” I thought it was a little undercooked, but I’m glad he enjoyed it.
Friday morning my family piled into the minivan to begin our journey (a 7-8 hour drive) to Ohio. It was much less crowded when we weren’t full grown.
I found one of the only locally owned coffee shops in the area we were staying at for me to do some work at on Saturday.
The first thing I did was promptly drop my headphones into my cappuccino.
The coffee shop was pretty cute.
If you’re around Mason, Ohio, it was Cavu Coffee.
I made sure to mostly just wear jewelry that I had made during the trip. I got a lot of use out of the gorgeous drop earrings that I made specifically for myself.
If you’re interested, I also take custom orders for those.
The finished apron for my cousin! She loves to bake which is why I decided to make her an apron. She graciously posed for a photo in it!
And I leave you with a little bit of humor. My dad was helping us pack up our stuff to go home and discovered that this was how my brother had hung his dress shirt on the hanger.
